  • Main spar no drill locations

Can anybody help with any "no drill" locations on the main spar mock up. Looking at the prints I don't see any pulley attachments or brackets that must attach. Just worried about messing up. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks! Can anybody also explain the Station A, B, C. what is that showing for info?

I am working on a patrol, The others will have something similar.

    Rivets have same spacing EXCEPT

The web splice requires special attention
Some locations are not drilled since they would interfere with 4130

Sometimes there is no point in driving rivet since that same exact location will be drilled out

This picture is to emphasize that I trim the c web at the attach plates

I wanted to match drill attach plates so I did not pre drill in this area

I do not think I had to change these location attach.jpg but I was very careful and waited to match drill thru plates

The main/rear spars are trimmed at the wing tip side and the attach plate side

Not the center of the web.

I would not drill the compression strut attach holes or the flap/aileron hinge location holes. Once you have the steel parts fabricated you can match drill the steel fittings to the spars.
