  • Wing storage- Wall hanging.

Has anyone stored their wings hanging them on the wall or from the ceiling? I have 16 foot Ceilings in my shop and I would like to get them off the floor up high on the wall.

    Thanks for for the help.

I colleague at my local EAA chapter had his hanging on the wall of the chapter hangar using some old canvas hose from a fire truck. Two big loops held one wing. Carpet would work too.

I used pool noodles with rope through the middle to hang my Pitts wings up when they were finished. Leading edge down

worked well cheap and easy to find

Hanging mine from the rafters, they're plenty light for it.

Used HF ratchets to walk them up and down, 4ea for security. My shop is 16ft as well.

I used pulleys and rope. Had a second safety strap just in case. The rope fed through some foam pipe insulation and was centered on a nose rib. *Almost* a one-man job!
