Carb Box (I think Mark had original post)

Many moons ago, Mark said he bought a AS carb box and recommended we all "beef them up" and I can not find the old post, which was in the Yahoo Group. If I remember correctly, Mark said to replace the plastic bushings with metal, and to beef up the welding, but that is where I went blank. Any help appreciated

The carb heat box from Spruce that I used has had the bearing on the side replaced. Also, it is set up so the heated air goes out the side. That has to be sealed up and the tube outlet welded to the back part.

It was someone else recommending beef up of the parts. Mark

There's some pics out on my site of the mods to the ACS heatbox which include bronze bushings and the brazed (not welded) changes to the form.
