Hi all,
I've installed the aileron cable fairlead in the flap torque tube support bracket at the wing root, and I'm finding that the fairlead collides with the outboard surface of the root rib. This pushes the support bracket over (toward the wingtip) and causes the flap torque tube to bind up in support bracket bearing.
I'm thinking I should open up the small hole in the rib that the cable will pass through (pink string in the photo), to make it larger than the OD of the fairlead and resolve the interference with the rib. Have others needed to do this? I figured I should ask before busting out the step drill!!
