Sad day in Oshkosh

It was reported yesterday that Jeremy Monnett of Sonex Aircraft was killed in an aircraft accident at KOSH yesterday afternoon. It's a very sad day for all of us.

The Monnetts have done so much for experimental aviation. He will be deeply missed.

Jeremy Monnett was a really nice guy. In the last few years since the American Kt Industry Association (AKIA) was formed, there were several occasions when Jeremy helped me on one thing or another. Last year at OSH, Jeremy agreed to take over as President of the organization from Mr. Van. Jeremy did a lot for the kit aircraft world. Quite sad that such a young, decent, helpful person loses his life. Mark
