  • Centre Punch divot in spar flange - is there a fix

Hi i am currently working on a non bearhawk spar (my bearhawk is still progressing) from a previous builder and i noticed when sanding it back that there seems to be a divot from a centre punch in between the capstrip holes on the web. Just wondering what a fix would be as the hole is too close to a rivet hole to drill out and put a rivet in?

Yes, there is a fix. Build the wing. Stinger

Drill it out but don't put a rivet in either, add two rivets to either side of the pair of holes if edge distance can be met. <--- that may be a dumb idea, but it's the first thing I thought of. Anything in the 41.13 bible?

I'm not even sure you need to do anything other than drill a hole. I would suggest a #40. As long as there is edge distance and the hole is deburred, you shouldn't have any strength loss..
