    In between Bearhawk parts, I've been putting the polisher smackdown on the two-seat tailwheel terrorist. There's a lot of years of neglect on this beast, and it's taking a lot of effort to spiff it up. But dang it all if the shine doesn't put a smile on your face!

    Still on the F9 compound and have a long way to go. But figure the plane project is going to take longer, so might as well make the interim plane more presentable!

    That is going to be spectacular, Chris! But all of that work is exactly why I painted my RV-8 rather than polishing it. I'm lazy that way :-)

      Looking good! I love polished airplanes but they are a lot of work to keep looking like liquid metal. I kept the luscombe looking ok. That way I didn't spend all my time polishing and I didn't feel so bad when it got mud flung all over it.

        This plane had some repair work done on it up front after a hard landing, so everything in front of the gear is new metal. That part was fairly easy. It's why you don't see any stripes up there. My A&P said to polish it first before repainting the top of the cowl and the stripes, so that's what I'm doing. Polished 140s and 170s are so sweet.

          So, if I understand your bio, at the bottom;
          you've got plans for a Patrol
          you've got plans for a 4 pl Bearhawk
          you're scratch building the Expedition (which I think is very cool!)
          and NOW you're polishing a C-140!!!!!!!!!

          Guys like you make the rest of us look lazy!
          But the 140 sure is looking good!
