  • Best Jacket Ever!

A friend put this together for me and my wife using a drawing and a Bearhawk name patch from the Bearhawk Store. She only made two and has no interest or time for production. I used to think that this was great but I would have no opportunity to show it off at Oshkosh. Then again, after 2013, that might not be so unreasonable.

Very cool Erbman! What do you think Jared? Any chance in doing something like this on a production basis?

Sure, if we can find someone who would be willing to do the embroidery and enough folks who would be willing to buy the jackets.

There is a Uniform and Embroidery company here in Naples that can take any artwork in a JPEG or PDF and convert it to an embroidery. This particular company is owned by an acquaintance of mine. I've had them produce shirts with embroidered company logos. Gave them the logo on a CD and they set it up. You can probably email it to them. http://www.sewshore.com/

I also have folks that can do the work if we can find buyers. How many folks would be interested in a jacket like that, keeping in mind that the paint scheme of the airplane would have to be the same on all of them (though not necessarily the thread colors), and that the price might be $75-100 depending on the style of the jacket?

I would be in for two of them. Standard Bearhawk Paint Scheme. I think would be the downfall of the whole thing. Most folks are going to want their own paint scheme on the jacket so that wouldn't be feasible.

I'd go with the original Bob Barrows paint scheme. However once the design/layout is set up, an owner could submit their paint scheme and see what the color change/setup would cost.
