The full album and write-up can be found here:

After 3 days of cross country and lift serve skiing on the fresh noreaster snow, it was time to go ski flying. With winter just begun and neither of us experienced ski pilots, we chose our destinations carefully. There wasn't enough snow to cover rocks and bushes in unimproved fields. Only 4" to 8"

Flew in to Swans in Dixfield, ME today with a guy from PA who wanted to look at a Mazda powered Bearhawk there. Had 1,200 ft to work with because of a plowed driveway that crossed the runway. Crusty snow made stopping easy, but I was concerned about getting up and out of that crust. ...no problem!
