  • Mardi Gras!

For those of you, from foreign places, like Wisconsin and such, Mardi Gras is just something you've heard mentioned. When you grow up, in South Louisiana, it's a real event! Because my new baby was born here, I figured I'd treat her to her first:

But did she flash her headlights at you... No, never mind!

LOVE the beads. Also really like those plugs. They fit perfect, where did you get them??? We keep a light bulb under the hood 24/7 to help keep it dry and have plugged those holes, but ours are not as nice as those!! D.

My hangar is an old barn. It's not really 'critter proof'. In Springtime, a real problem is sparrows nesting on top of the cylinders. Those nests could block the cooling air, if not removed. The plugs keep the birds out.
I can find out, but I can't tell you where they came from. My son gave them to me, as a gift. I'll ask!

The cowl plugs were ordered from Aircraft Spruce.

Thanks. Look like they were made for the plane!

      Foreign places, like Wisconsin. Classic!

She looks fabulous done up in sparkly stuff. Suits her well!

Having done duty at NAS New Orleans and time in Gulfport MS for uncle sugar I have made a few Mardi Gras. Love the area.

When I left the Navy, I was offered an opportunity to work at NAS New Orleans for Harris Corp, but the timing wasn't right. That would have been an adventure!
