  • Swaging

I have just ordered the BHB and am looking at getting together parts and tools I need.

Having previously built a RV10, I have most of what I need but the cable runs are new to me. Looking at the swaging tools, I fail to see how you can compress the Nicopress fitting on one loop of the cable without crushing the other side of the figure 8. I expected to see a figure 8 tool, not a straight circle.

Am am I missing something? Am I looking at the right tools?

The first of a multitude of questions, I fear, so please "bear" with me .......

Hi Paul. Normally I would respond privately but thought others might not know about Brown Tools in Oklahoma. They are a good company with good quality tools and decent pricing. For QB kit customers, I can get a discount if you want something. Mark

Thanks Mark. I have most stuff. Was just a bit confused how the swaging tool worked. Got it now - see below. Only need to spend a few bucks on a simple tool - don't think I'm going to be building lots of these!

Ah, see it now. It does do it all in one go. I was just 90 degrees out with my perspective. Thanks.
