The valve core(Schrader valve) that goes inside the tire stem would be the same. -
My understanding is the MS valve cap has an internal rubber seal that will keep dirt and debris out of the valve but also act as a secondary seal to stop air from leaking out of the valve. Number is MS 20813; $3.35 from ACS

A little valve stem trivia.....I was told, or I read it on the internet so it must be true, that the valve stem caps with the o rings are not only there to keep dirt out but also to keep the valve stem from getting depressed at high speeds.
Not an issue with most G/A planes, but a definite consideration with those plastic Airbus and Boeing birds.Comment
