  • Tire Valve ?

Need new tire valve. Does automotive valve work? Where would I find the proper size? It's for an 8

The valve core(Schrader valve) that goes inside the tire stem would be the same.

My understanding is the MS valve cap has an internal rubber seal that will keep dirt and debris out of the valve but also act as a secondary seal to stop air from leaking out of the valve. Number is MS 20813; $3.35 from ACS

A little valve stem trivia.....I was told, or I read it on the internet so it must be true, that the valve stem caps with the o rings are not only there to keep dirt out but also to keep the valve stem from getting depressed at high speeds.
Not an issue with most G/A planes, but a definite consideration with those plastic Airbus and Boeing birds.
