  • Cabin headliner

i have been trying to decide what to do with the cabin headliner. I would really like to leave all the tubing exposed for a roomier feel and also as handles for getting in and out of the plane, but living in central WI and planing on doing a lot of winter flying I think a little insulation would be nice. I have found some quilted thinsolite products that would look nice and be fire resistant I’m just not sure on how to fasten it. One idea is to cover the top of the cabin area with it and then cover over the top of that with the fabric sandwiching the thinsolite between the stringers and the fabric. Wondering if anyone has a better idea or a reason this wouldn’t work
    thanks

I'm doing a 'utility interior' on mine for much the same reasons you mentioned (roomier feel, cold weather flying). This type of interior is pretty popular amount the BCP Cessna crowd but I think it will work well for me. The foam is from Selkirk, or since we are EAB we can use whatever foam we like. Most of my panels will stay in place with friction but along the top I'm using Stewart Systems glue.
