    That appears to be the case. The forces involved are quite high, your legs can probably push over 100lbs. The fraction of a pound of vacuum drawn by the very small volume change in the reservoir wouldn't make much difference.

      On Citabria’s there is a small copper vent line from the top of the reservoir down to the belly. That is what I will do on my Patrol, also makes it very easy to bleed the brake system.
