  • EGT probe location

I’m finally to the final stages of firewall forward of my BH 4 place. I have Bobs O540 engine and am using the Dynon system because I am already comfortable with it since it’s in my RV7. My question is I know that the probes must be the same distance from the flange and that of course they must clear the cowling. Do any of you have a picture that shows where yours are mounted that works? Thanks for any input

    No photo,

About 2 in below the flange, the hole is located
at about 45 deg aft and outboard of the exhaust
tube. Installed the tip points inward to the exhaust and the hookup leads point to the midpoint of the wing flap.

I did the same as BH272 describes, except mine are facing forward. Just a slight angle so they clear the intake manifold. I have ample clearance.
