    I would add one thing: Start with a displaced threshold so that you don't get into trouble if you do some up short. Once you _never_ come up short, go for a real threshold.

    After all that, you get to learn landing up hills, down hills, side slopes, etc...

      I think some kind of BH flyin would be great, especially in the southwest US. I have a 4-place and I could use some "If you see it, you can be it" examples. I fly to southern UT in strips like Mineral Canyon (UT75) and Mexican Mountain, both great places to camp and practice.

      It is not looking like we'll be having any kind off actual gathering out west but we certainly should share plans with eachother and possibly we'll end up with an unofficial get together. I'm looking forward to S Utah in the spring.
