  • Bob Updates about the Ultralight Prototype

Diana reports that Bob has been able to work more on his Part 103 design. He has framed up some of the fuselage and the rudder. He's still not able to bear weight on his injured leg, and is using a knee scooter to get around.

I've always considered ultralights as death in a law chair. But as I get older I'm thinking it makes more sense for me then a Patrol. I mostly fly alone, take off and land at the same airport and fly strictly for the fun of it. Maybe I'll chuck the hassle and expense of a Patrol for the freedon and sheer happiness of Part 103 flying.

Does Bob have any plans for foldable or easily renovable wings? Hanger rents are stupid in my area. Leaving any plane outside in the NW also has its disadvantages. Most airports here will alow a small enclosed trailer in the outside tie down area.
