  • Any Bay Area California Bearhawkers who wouldn't mind a visitor?

I've been going back and forth about buying vs building. I'm leaning towards building, and the 4 place bearhawk checks all the boxes of what I want. I have read and researched everything I could possibly find on the internet, have all the back issues of bear tracks, Russ's CD, etc. However, I have never seen one in person, and before I pluck down a considerable amount of money, I'd like to see this aircraft in person. Are there any California NorCal or Bay Area builders out there that would be up for showing off your aircraft? A completed flying Bearhawk would be great, but if you are local and in the build process and don't mind a visitor let me know.

I haven't met anyone in the bay area yet. There is a voluntary builder map at http://bearhawkbuilder.com that shows several in Southern California. Mike Bundy has a kit in progress, and Russ Erb and Pat Fagan each have completed scratch-build airplanes. I haven't had a chance to meet up with Pat yet, but I've visited with Mike and Russ, and I'd certainly recommend reaching out to any of the three.
