For a while now the email notifications for the message board have not been working. As of a few minutes ago, that should be fixed. If you are a person who would like to have email notifications of posts in the message board, or notifications of replies to posts that you have made, you can turn these on in your user settings. Scroll up to the top of the page and click on your user name in the upper right. That should open a menu with "User Settings" as an option. This is a handy place to make any number of changes, including the "User Title," which shows up under your name on the left side of your posts, so it is worth spending some time rummaging around in there.
If you just want to change your email notification settings, look under the large font "User Settings" and "Back to Profile" button. You'll see "Profile", "Account", "Privacy", and "Notifications." Use that notifications tab to adjust the settings to your liking. If these directions are not clear enough, I might create a tutorial video- but if it is easy enough to do, then I won't bother. Please reply to let me know if that is something I should spend time on.
Also, the one key function that is still missing is email notifications of private messages. To me, this is a forehead-slapping situation, and I don't see why the software doesn't have this feature, but it does not yet. The good news is that the software developer is releasing regular updates, and hopefully they will have an update with that feature soon. Meanwhile, the only way to know if you have a private message is to look for a little red box in the upper right hand side of the screen. This is part of the reason why I occasionally don't answer private messages, because I don't know that they are there.
