  • Carb Data Plate?

Does my carburetor need a data plate? I had a pre-final inspection today as the DAR was at the airport and he looked it over. He mentioned that the data plat goes here (pointing to a spot on the carb)

Mine does not have a data plate

What did the DAR say? Are you asking for 25 hours of flight testing instead of 40?

We discussed the task based phase one that I am electing to do.

He just pointed out that the carb had no data plate, which made me wonder is it supposed to have a data plate.

Not to hijack my own thread, but I was always planning on doing all of the tasks listed in task based anyway. For my type of flying I need to know my plane inside and out, just flying off 40 hours would be a disservice to my wellbeing in the backcountry
