Love the new Bearhawk forum. So much easier than Yahoo and putting up with their bs.

Well....I thought I would like it, but it is too time consuming for me to keep up with the conversations. After I have tried it, I am like Budd Davisson....I can keep up with what is going on with emails coming in, just deleting and moving on. I now go a couple of days working hard and then realize I haven't even been on here to see what is happening, and then, it takes me forever to search through all the topics and pages to see what has been posted. Just not a good use of my time. And like the Short Wing Piper site as well as the Supercub Forum - I never think to get on there, and don't have a clue as to what has been discussed. I am disappointed. Just is not going to be effective for me.

I check the Forum once per day and answer questions that i know the answers to. Takes me less than 10 minutes of my time. To each his own I guess.

BTW I actually enjoy checking my email now since it isn't loaded down with 100's of emails. Now that was a waste of my time.

I agree. My email was always overwhelmed and I finally just turned it off. I guess I haven't used this forum enough for a final opinion. Generally I don't look at all the posts, only when I have a question on something I'm working on.

Yeah, we all work differently. I'm just leaving it up on my browser now, and when I take a break, check it for posts. I'm learning now, how to get through it better. Just takes a conscious effort to do so. I am always checking my email when something comes in for my business anyway, so it was just quick for me to check all messages that came in. It seems to be working well without the Yahoo problems, which was the purpose anyway.

And if I recall, you were of a more skeptical opinion prior to starting the forum. People just need to give it a week or two, and will likely come to the same conclusion as Eric.

Personally I really like the new forum, then again I've been on other forums for a long time and hated yahoo groups with a passion. My email in box is much happier too!

Would it be worthwile to make a sub forum in the tips for files and transfer all the yahoo files?

It's ok, I'm not a fan, but I'll definitely give it a chance. I've found if the thread wanders away from the original topic, I may miss content. If the original thread title or subgroup doesn't catch me, I won't look at it at all. In the email scheme at least I got to scan part of the text. There have been many instances in the past where I would get something out of an email that had little to do with the original message subject.
