Ordering Tubing

Greetings all. Ben lurking for years. Now starting to build the LSA. I have read about the Chinese 4130 in the past. Is there something I need to avoid when ordering my materials?

Welcome to the group. Sorry I can't help you with the steel tubing question. I started scratch building a Patrol this spring, and started with the wings. Steel tubing is still a few years away I think.

Thanks for the welcome Ben. I started cutting and sanding the master form block last Thursday night. Got it cut out and almost sanded to the pattern when my sander I purchased especially for this project decided to lock up. It is in for repair and another ordered. Should be in this week. Then off to making the form blocks. All I lack is finishing.

It doesn't seem like you need to avoid Chinese 4130 for quality reasons, and I doubt you'd be able to find all of the sizes you'll need if you do.
