  • Priming and markings

Hey guys, this is a question that goes out to any scratch builder. I'm standing here looking at all of these spacers and other parts that are virtually identical but must be oriented and located a certain way during assembly. I'm using the Stewart's cleaner and etch for priming, and just the cleaning alone removes any identifying markings I have on these guys. I'm looking for a way to keep all these ducks in a row at least until the primer is dry. Advice?

I used tags intended for forestry: http://www.forestry-suppliers.com/pr...luminum%20Tags

I just scribed them with a screwdriver or drill bit. I would always attach in the Forward Facing or Outboard hole, which helped me with orientation. It was a pain, but it was the only thing that I came up with

I had heavy paper wire tags, write letter for side, number for location 1-176?, logged in legal pad. Similar orientation thoughts as Mike. Kept the tag up out of the etch/Alodine.
