  • DFX of a Patrol wing profile

~Does anyone have a DXF drawing of a Patrol wing profile. I have had Patrol plans # 238 for a while and am now ready to start making parts. I have a Knee mill with a CNC package. It is not very practical to use the mill to cut out each rib but it will work well for the rib form blocks. My email address is bwelfred@rogers.com
    Thank you

Some day there will be a Bearhawk Bank, where DFX files of every part are deposited. Then one can retrieve a copy to use in there own shop, or have it on hand for there local fabricator.

If you can talk Bob into it from the IP perspective, I can make it happen from the technical perspective.

Hey Scott, I think so, but might only be rough outlines for purposes of laying out of a sheet for cutting. I'll check.

That would be great, thank you. I'm trying to get the hang of Solidworks and importing a jpg into a sketch. If you have the DXF I can resize it to match the drawings.

Scott I saw this in my inbox at work from Draftsight. This is a time saving feature to translate an image into a dwg. Before, I manually traced over the image using splines etc. I did have control of the precision, like staying on the inside of the line vs outside, but I would think this feature would be plenty useful for someone wanting to model parts of the Bearhawk.

I saw that video, I don't believe that addin is operational in the EAA version of the software. I am going to try this weekend. It certainly would be a time saver.
