Patrol first flight in South Africa

Just thought I would report that the first Patrol to fly in South Africa took its maiden flight today. The owner reported a trouble free first flight. He said that he was airborne before he had gotten full throttle. He was instructed to keep the speeds below 120 mph, but when he got distracted looking at something he looked at the airspeed indicator and it was showing 145 mph. But it flew hands off and the owner is very happy. The plane (from a QB kit) was built by Wayne Giles, our distributor in South Africa.

Wayne has a stroker IO-370 or 375 with a 3 blade MT. MG
