  • Exhaust system

To anyone that is using a Vetterman exhaust system on their Patrol with an O-360 engine:
What system are you using (e.g. a system for an RV-7 or some other installation)?
Are you using a separate muff for the carb heat and the cabin heat?
Your overall satisfaction/concerns/issue with the system?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Hi Steve. I have the Vetterman exhaust with a heat muff on each exhaust. Like you say - one for cabin heat and one for carb heat. I used an Usher carb heat box. All seems good but the Vans system is probably cleaner and less drag. Mark

Mark - I have an Usher heat box but am considering building something similar to the RV setup. However, not sure about the RV system that closes off the heated air flow when not in use. Seems like there should be some flow through the heated muff that goes overboard (in the cowling somewhere) when carb heat is not required.
