I often leave my airplane tied down during the day while visiting another airport and wanted a locking capability to the windows and baggage compartment. The attached drawing shows a slightly modified window mechanism using an Allen bolt as the axle of the window latch. A small hole in the window bezel allows me to turn the latch from the outside with an Allen key. Not completely a locking door but probably enough security.

But if you crumple the airplane like Bob did, how do rescuers get the window open to get the door open, to get you out?

Thanks for the reply. Opening the door will open both the window and door simultaneously. Door has separate lock.
