Thats a very interesting point ! I expect that the mount is probably overkill. The engine side of the firewall normally sits at about 35°c when inflight...

Mark, mine was the same. I added two quarts at a time and marked the dipstick with an engraver. As Jared mentioned, it's more art than science.

No. The majority of my flying is off airport. If insurance becomes too expensive I would continue without it. No problem with annual recurrent flying...Last edited by Nev; 12-09-2025, 01:58 PM.
