Last Monday I traveled to Hickory, NC, to take Jared Yates’ FAA approved Bearhawk transition course. Jared and I spent about 5-6 hours together, about 3 hours in the plane, the remainder talking about flying the Bearhawk. I consider the time and $ well-spent. The Bearhawk is a big step up from my Maranda: somewhat like going from a dirt bike to a road hog. But, Jared is an thorough and patient teacher, and I now feel ready to soon make the first flight my plans-built four place. My insurance company is going to love it too.
