    I was thinking the same as Battson. Concentrate on rock steady pitch (indicates AOA) looking out the window, path control variations will be picked up sooner so smaller changes will be needed to correct. Don't dismiss a slip. It may be a quicker more refined drag control device (glide path control device) than a power change. Don't not scan at all, just reduce its frequency and refine your skill seeing changes in Pitch & Path out the window.
