Great looking paint booth. We did a very similar one with some minor variations. We put a row of furnace filters across the top of the wall on the door side and had a box frame for the fan outlet. That allowed us to put large fiberglass economy type furnace filters on 3 sides of the outlet to catch the paint so it is not fouling the fan or coloring the side of the building. The fiberglass filters were doubled up so once the outer filter fouled up we moved the inner one out and put a fresh one behind it. It is amazing how much paint will end up on the filters. The filters high on the far wall allows the air to flow down and across sort of like a down draft booth. It is a very efficient system and makes a good work environment. We had wood heat so we would heat the shop into the high 80's as the booth would bring the temperature down but the heat soak in the building let it recover quick.

Rob and Ken ran into the same issues and just changed filters…a LOT! I bought a 300ft roll of exhaust filter material and will probably switch it out after every go….cheap enough.
