Unknown weld tabs

Anyone know what these weld tabs are used for?

Those might come in handy for attaching a bit of stuff to fill the gap between the fuselage and the inboard end of the flap?

Those tabs were intended for attaching a wing root fairing, we do not use them. We attach the fairing at the flap.
