  • Hartzell Lead times

We ordered and paid for an exhaust system from Virgil in January. Knew up front that the vendor would take some time to build. We ordered and paid for an 85" 3 blade Trailblazer in February. Was told by a few people they were running 30-60 days out. Needless to say the prop estimate was not accurate. A few weeks ago Virgil said our exhaust was in, and Hartzell was ready to ship our prop. (Insert sound of crickets)

We are stalled waiting for these parts so we can get our cowling fabricated.

Anyone else out there had any issues getting a prop?

Hartzell told me at Sun-N-Fun that the Trailblazer is 8 weeks delivery time. They also said to order it from my kit manufacturer. They didn't really want me to by direct.

We ordered the prop through Virgil as well. We got about a 20 minute notice yesterday that the delivery driver was enroute. Thankfully, one of our friends was near his hangar and was able to receive it. We are in Oceanside for a few days enjoying the cooler weather.
