Engine Lead Time?

Whats the lead time on a new engine for the Five? 540 or 580? I know someone said lycoming had a couple year wait time on some engines- may have been a covid thing

If buying a new engine, you are probably buying from Mark for the discount. Give him a call.

I called a few engine shops recently and the soonest someone said was 90 working days but I think they said they had a few month lead time before they could start work. Bob was estimating delivery time in late 2024. New lycoming was too rich for my blood; however, if you were going to go that route I think the new pricing on the 580 would be the way to go and you would be a year+ out. Rod is right, contacting Mark is the best source of information.

6-8 months is no delay, only a professional builder would need one that fast
