Hi,
Looks like a useful forum here - I haven't started building (in fact I'm still deciding which 4-place plane I want to build...) I figure a bit of education here will be useful. I've joined the local (Camarillo, CA) EAA chapter, and am trying to read all I can about this stuff (including the 4-book set from the EAA - it is getting a bit dated, however.)

Welcome Eric, you live in a great place for a Bearhawk! You have Pat Fagan and Russ Erb right up the road in the desert, and down in Van Nuys Mike Bundy has a kit in progress. Are you in touch with those guys? You can find their contact info on the map at Bearhawkbuilder.com if not. They are all excellent Bearhawk ambassadors and would be good resources during a build also.
