Hey everyone! My name is Sam Scott, I'm 24 years old and I live in North Carolina. I'm an A&P mechanic and private pilot. I've been planning for a homebuilt project for some time now. After lots of research (and seeing the Bob's LSA at a local fly-in), I decided the LSA is the ideal project for me. I ordered the plans in January this year and I'm hoping to start construction this summer, pending the completion of a current project. I'm reorganizing my workshop and will be soaking up information from this forum in the meantime.

Sam, I'm not far from you in Hickory, NC, though I have a 4-place Bearhawk and not an LSA. There is also a new LSA builder named John between your area and mine.
