Hi. I bought Patrol plans #P073 several years ago, and used to follow the old forum. My goal was to have it flying by 2012. Well, after several false starts that were interrupted by life happening, I'm finally rolling on my project. I just finished cleaning up my Avipro ribs, and got the blanks for the angle brackets cut and dressed last night. This weekend I'll either building or borrowing a brake to bend them.
I haven't been totally idle all these years either. I have all the materials I need for the wings ready to go, as well as most of the tools and skills. I got all my sheet metal tools from a retired mechanic. So I have selection of drills, rivet guns and bucking bars, clecos etc. I took the aircraft welding class at UAF CTC, the final exam was welding tubing splices and clusters. I also picked up a rebuilt Lycoming O-320 160hp.
Nothing left to do but Get it done!

Sounds like you are ready to get going strong Phil. Alaska needs more Patrols flying for sure. Mark
