Greetings all. My name is Marty and I am a new member and proud owner of N152GH, Georg Himmeroder's Bearhawk. I've only had it about three weeks and am still getting comfortable with it. I do have a question for those of you that had autopilots installed. I'm going to replace an outdated Blue Mountain EFfIS with Garmin's G3X Touch and want to add two autopilot servos. I would like to know where you've installed the aileron and elevator servos. I think the aileron servo could be installed under the front passenger seat and the elevator servo installed in the empanage area by removing the aft bulkhead panel. I would like your opinions on the subject and would really like to see any photos of installed servos. Thank you in advance and I look forward to reading all the Bearhawk info on the forum.

Welcome Marty! I'm running both the roll and pitch servos under the front seats. The pitch connects to the same elevator bellcrank that the stick connects to, and the roll connects to the same place where the aileron cable connects to the right stick. I've been wanting to document the servo installation and publish it in the Beartracks, but I also wanted to wait until I really get the system dialed in and validated before doing so. That's been my status for the last year or so. I really do expect that on my next flight I'll be able to make some progress in this regard. I don't think there's any advantage to putting it behind the bulkhead, because I'm not sure how you would connect it to the elevator cable. By having it up close to the stick, you can use a rigid pushrod with rod ends.
