    Bearhawk 5 Quick Builder

    Greetings Bearhawkers! I expect delivery of my Model 5 quick build kit in May. I will be building in my hangar at Cable Airport, CCB in Upland, CA. Visitors are welcome after October 1, 2022. So far, tentatively plan to install IO-540 with DYNON. Please contact me through the forum.

      I'm sure you know this, your trail has been blazed rather recently here, by Colby Osborn, who has been building the same Model 5 for about a year and a half now. He's got a nice YouTube vlog about the process.

        I’ve been watching Colby’s progress. Love his, Rob Caldwell’s and other videos. Happy to join this great community.

          Rob's channel is pretty detailed, and has some great advice.

          Don't forget Neville, from Christchurch (NZ)! He is my idol, from kit delivery to first flight in about a year! I so much hope, once I retire and can build full-time, that I can do what he did!

            Deeply ashamed that I neglected to mention Neville as well. I have absolutely enjoyed and benefited from his material as well. I really appreciate these guys as I have a bit of an idea of the overhead that the production of these videos requires. Nice job, Gents!

                Sorry Skybug for the late reply: I ordered my kit at Oshkosh '21 so it was just under a year lead time. Mark kept me well informed of progress and expected delivery. Good luck with yours!
