  • Modular building table.

I am thinking about a modular table for the wing and fuselage builds. 2 9' tables that I can attach at the middle with leveling feet.
    Any thoughts?

I did similar but made three 6' tables, utilized the 2' cut offs for some shelving. Really like the reconfigurability in my small shop.

I made a pile of 2'x4' benches that can be bolted together on the 2' end or 4' end. Really nice to be able to get the size table you need and be able to line the walls of the shop with bench space when not needed for building. I modified the EAA chapter 1000 (I think) plans. For leveling once bolted together, I use shims. I left an 1/5" overhang for clamping, simply place a couple 2x4s between the frames when bolting them together to keep from smashing the plywood tops.
