  • Badass Magnets!

This morning, I was fitting a carburetor air scoop, on the lower cowl. I didn't want to drill holes, for cleco's, until I was certain about the placement and fit, but how to keep it in place? A while back, I bought some "Stitchweld Magnets" from Eastwood (p/n 20421). Now, I fully realize that aluminum has virtually no magnetic permeability, but maybe the magnets would attract each other and hold the scoop in place. Well, much to my surprise, a single pair easily holds the scoop on! 4 pairs of them holds it so well, I can't pull it off. These things are like cleco's without the holes! They must be radioactive or from space, or something....
