    I didn't want to build a fuselage jig and then burn it so I covered the top with fire resistant sheetrock. I have a nice flat even surface and after making the tack welds I can confirm that this stuff does not burn after the torch is removed. Just remember the taper on the edge when measuring to jig the top in place. Working well so far and I'm ready to fit the vertical pieces.

    I figure when the fuselage is complete, I discard the sheetrock and still have a great workbench left.
