  • Wing stands and dollys

I have found that utilizing Harbor Freight moving dollies generously has been incredibly helpful in my tight workshop. I place them under my wing stands, tail stand, and tires, allowing me to easily attach and remove the wings from the fuselage single-handedly, with only moderate exertion.

Today, I will be removing the wings. I plan to support both wing tips with a stand, remove the strut, shift the second stand to support the wing root, and then proceed to remove the bolts at each spar.

I keep the tail stand in place while the wings are assembled in this manner, ensuring that the bottom of the wing is level with the shop floor."

I used the same dolleys, but removed the wheels and built a subframe on the bottom of the dolleys where the axles rested. It lowered the whole thing 5 or 6 inches.

I like your lights on the wing stands. They must really improve the light under the wings, great idea!
