Baggage door latch

On my Patrol Q/B kit a lot of the metal pieces have been expoxy primed and painted. That includes the 1/4" rod used in the door and window latch assemblies included in the kit. After installing the baggage door latch and checking function the latch jammed up due to washer and rod interference caused by the paint. So, I had to disassemble and sand/polish the paint off the travel section of the 1/4" rod. Very similar to what is done to the flap torque tube where it passes thru any bearings/support.

So, just a heads up to save someone the work of doing it twice - polish those rods!
