  • joystick grips on the cheap

After paying likely way too much attention to this particular attribute of my cabin interior, I've come up with a neat set of grips for not too much cash.
The caveat is that you have to print a part, but I have an .stl file for anyone that wants it. You have to chase the thread with a 5/8-24 tap. At least I did with my 3D printer.
The PTT switches are the excellent Otto brand: https://tinyurl.com/28zhx532
    The grips are these: https://tinyurl.com/396rcv2c
These are the short grips of this brand that fit under my Patrol panel. They do make a longer grip.
They come in various colors and have the added benefit of having "SPANK" emblazoned on your joysticks. There's a locking collar on both ends - one grips the stick and the other the adapter.
Total cost for both grips was around $70 without the 5/8 tap.

Neat solution, do you mind sending me the file viaPM? I have a friend with a printer and I'll see what he can do. Cheers!

I like your solution to the stick grip.
I am echoing Dave's question, could you share the 3D print file?
      Thanks

I guess I'm going to jump on the bandwagon here. I love your idea. Lots of great bicycle grips out there that would function nicely for this. I can PM you my email address if you'd be willing to send me the print file.
