Beautiful trip in the Alaskan cold

I tried out my aircraft heating setup in earnest today. Ambient temperature at the airport was about 13F, engine temp was at 79F. Even though it was windstill, it seems like it takes three times as long to get into the air and put everything back in place! I’ll do a write up of my setup and experiences later, but in the meantime keep dreaming and building. It was an absolutely stunning afternoon to fly. The mountains in the background are part of the Alaska Range. Two active volcanoes are visible, Mount Iliamna and Mount Redoubt. Keep after it, it’s worth it!
