This was also almost all of my hands off roll. The horzontal stab wasn't really level. Once I finally got that dialed in, most of the roll went away....

I don't think there's any evidence that an engine that can run on mogas regarding octane will experience detonation if you switch from carb to injection....Last edited by zkelley2; 12-19-2025, 12:21 AM.

Mechanical, as in not electronic fuel injection. The typical Benidx fuel injection on lycomings. The fuel pump on the back of the motor gets way to hot...Last edited by zkelley2; 12-18-2025, 04:43 AM.

No. You cannot run any mogas with mechanical injection because of the vapor lock problem at the inlet of the very hot mechanical fuel pump.

Type specific training with regards to takeoff and landings goes a really long ways to prevent accidents. I'm honestly surprised insurance companies...
