    I have been following the mazda rotary option with considerable interest as well. But, for the same reasons you list, I decided to go the traditional route. Wehn Tracy Crook retired from making PSRUs, that sealed the deal.

    A turbo'd P-port 3-rotor wankel is definitely a firebreathing beast that would make a Bearhawk or any other plane act like a home-sick angel.

    I'm thinking that once I get the plane flying, I may tinker with one and see if I can set it up to swap out the Lycoming. Maybe Mazda will be producing the new rotary by then.
