Really think about your mission.
I was ready to do an LSA. Flew 3 different types. The Patrol wasn't available when I started my 4 place. Then I got to thinking that I really want to fly with at least one person maybe two and have my toys with me most of the time. Either fishing and camping gear or golf clubs and 2 people. Maybe 3. I live in colorado's thin air and want plenty of power around or over mountains at high airstrips. You may want to go there even if u live at low altitude! Anyone with a Patrol please enter into this discussion. Building time is long for either one unless you do it full time.
Overall operating cost would be substantial I believe. Maybe a Patrol owner could fill you in on fuel burn, etc. I just flew with Jared Yates in his 4 place with an O360. ( see post under flight training). Mucho power. And appreciably lower fuel burn than my O540. The visibility with the patrol is outstanding and that always impresses me. Hope this helps.
